Ecommerce Assistant

The GM8 Group Ltd is a family owned company and runs several ecommerce websites selling a wide range of products for the garden and the home.

The websites we operate include originalorganics.co.uk, waterbuttsdirect.co.uk and guttermate.co.uk.  We also manufacture several of our own products sold directly online or via Amazon, eBay and a network of resellers.

Following several years of double-digit growth, we are looking for an Ecommerce Assistant to join our team.

The purpose of the role is to support the E-Commerce and Digital Marketing Manager with the marketplace strategy together with various E-Commerce and marketing strategies to achieve growth across all sales channels.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow Amazon, eBay and other marketplaces by increasing sales, buy box holding percentages, product listings and maintaining high ranking product listings
  • Work with Channel Advisor, a marketplace specialist platform, to ensure our products are given maximum visibility with ROI in mind
  • Ensure that all orders are processed via marketplaces in a timely manner to avoid any negative metrics
  • Creating and improving website content and product listings to encourage customers to make a purchase via 8 websites on the Magento ecommerce platform
  • Optimising the website in line with SEO best practice and deploying conversion rate optimisation techniques
  • Maintaining the accuracy of product information in BrightPearl (orders and stock management system) by keeping information up-to-date
  • Analysing data on Google Analytics and BrightPearl to make recommendations for further growth
  • Writing email content and building designs in MailChimp
  • Working with affiliate partners to promote offers and creatives
  • Communicating updates to several departments including marketing, customer service, operations and finance.
  • Designing website and marketing creatives/banners across various marketing channels

 

Key Metrics:

  • Achieving sales targets across all channels
  • Growing marketplace and online site traffic, orders and conversion rates
  • Quality and accuracy of all marketplace activity
  • Quality and accuracy of Magento
  • Quality and accuracy of BrightPearl
  • Increased SERPs for major keywords
  • Improving customer interaction with emails e.g. open and click through rates
  • Product availability and sales on numerous marketplaces

  

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Educated to degree level in a marketing or communications related subject
  • Experience in a similar digital marketing role
  • Experience of eBay and Amazon is essential
  • Experience of Magento, any stock management system, Facebook, MailChimp, Web Gains, Hootsuite and Photoshop would be desirable
  • Commercial Awareness
  • Be able to understand insights and make changes to improve data
  • Knowledge of SEO best practice
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload, executing an ongoing plan
  • Good MS Office Knowledge (Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive and professional attitude

Customer Service Advisor

The GM8 Group Ltd is a family owned company and runs several ecommerce websites selling a wide range of products for the garden and the home.

The websites we operate include originalorganics.co.uk, waterbuttsdirect.co.uk and guttermate.co.uk.  We also manufacture several of our own products sold directly online or via Amazon, eBay and a network of resellers.

Following several years of double-digit growth, we are looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join our team.

The purpose of the role is to assist with the management of customer services for the GM8 Group and process website orders via our stock management systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming phone calls in a timely manner, responding and resolving any actions as necessary.
  • Answer customer service enquiries via Live Agent ticketing system or directly via email
  • Take customer orders over the phone.
  • Process customer refunds.
  • Liaise with couriers with regards to returns and exchanges.
  • Process orders via BrightPearl, our stock management system, by identifying what orders need to go out and liaise with warehouse and marketing team to keep a steady flow of orders being handled.
  • Keep BrightPearl order records up-to-date ensuring full company visibility.
  • Process supplier and dropship purchase orders and invoices.
  • Be the initial representative for customers who collect orders from the office.
  • Assist with other ad-hoc requests from the wider teams when they arise including marketing, finance and operations.

 

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and executing an ongoing plan
  • Computer literate and knowledge of CRM systems
  • Be friendly, tactful, polite and professional at all times
  • Positive proactive and quick-thinking attitude
  • Problem solving skills
  • Must work well independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in customer service role with an online retailer would be advantageous
